Hospices de Beaune, a visit not to be missed during a stay in Burgundy!

Its Gothic style and its century-old history will not leave you indifferent. 26km from the Clos Badan Hotel, the Hospices de Beaune is also called the Hotel Dieu de Beaune. The street of this historical monument is named after it.

In the past, this celebrated site was a hospital foundation dating back to the Middle Ages. The glazed Burgundy tile roof concealed a hospice for the poor and destitute. You can now see this site steeped in history from above, if you follow the hiking and mountain bike trails.

This incredible work of art is also known for its famous vineyard. The wines of the Hospices de Beaune are sold at auction once a year. Today, you can take oenology lessons, enjoy wine tastings, visit the cellars of the estate and, of course, enjoy a good meal accompanied by a glass of wine.
